In life, we have two choices: overcome adversity, or be held back by it.
Mending Clinic is proud to introduce RESTORE, an Advanced Outpatient Program designed for those who want the most out of their relationships and their lives, but are currently unable to move forward.
Obstacles to growth require a specialized plan for each individual. Mending Clinic developed Restore as a four or six week advanced outpatient care program with an individualistic approach to assist adults.
Restore provides a unique Advanced Outpatient treatment plan for individuals who are looking to improve or develop coping strategies and life skills for fulfillment in relationships with family, student life, or work activities.
An Advanced Outpatient Program (AOP) provides the basics of group therapy and medication management offered in a typical outpatient program and supplemented this with an in-home assessment for each individual and specialized individual counseling.
The Multidisciplinary and Holistic approach of the Restore Program Utilizes:
WHY GROUP THERAPY?
Group counseling provides and environment for clients to gain support and perspective from eachother, while also receiving guidance from a specially trained group leader. The group leader provides guidance, discipline, structure, and respect throughout the process. The group will participate in experiential learning exercises, such as equine-assisted therapy, yoga or jiu-jitsu.
WHY IN-HOME ASSESSMENT?
The in-home assessment provides the group therapist, individual therapist, and medical provider a broader view of the group members current needs outside of the RESTORE group. The in-home assessment will help the family adjust their life principals to begin the process of generational change. At Mending Clinic, we know each family member has a voice. We developed RESTORE to give each family member an opportunity to grow along with the individual in our advanced outpatient program.
WHY MEDICATION MANAGEMENT?
Medication management paired with group therapy and individual therapy can be an effective tool for members to restore their quality of life and create health where possible impairments are currently present. Our medical director, Dr. Diana Ghelber, believes in a personal approach to treatment. Along with traditional western medications, Dr. Ghelber is trained in alternative approached to treating depression, anxiety and PTSD, such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, Ketamine and Acupuncture.
WHY SPECIALIZED INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING?
A patient needing individual counseling can begin this stage during week two of the program. Weekly individual counseling can be modified to couples or family counseling. Enabling the group members to fully review their reactions to recent group topics, coping strategies, address fears and anxieties related to the change process, provide personalized feedback on results, address any immediate emergencies, and probes into sensitive issues that are difficult to discuss while in group counseling. What to keep your current counselor? We can work with them!
The collaborative efforts of the team of professionals at Mending Clinic’s Restore program is the key to finding hope, restoration and healing. The unique approach of integrating multiple professionals meets the needs of individuals seeking to find wholeness in all aspects of their lives in order to live as we were created to live.
