Description

This training will provide supervisors with 6 Continuing Education Units. This an interactive in person (capped at 6) or virtual training (capped at 20). Attendees should be ready for interactive discussions, documentation questions, ethics questions, and business questions. 

Utilized through this training are real closed cases reported by common liability insurance companies to better understand the most frequent complaints against counselors. Use these common mistakes to set expectations for what you and your associates might face. Learn the average cost to defend a counselor against a complaint and the outcome of the complaint.

Learning Objectives

Review ethical guidelines that have been updated with the adoption of Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC) with the more common use of telebehavioral health services.

Discuss an outline for accepting an associate including the interview process and ethical guidelines for supervision.

Identify the communication style of your associates in supervision using the DiSC and other personality tests. Improve your communication with common ‘difficult’ personalities.

Prepare ethical documents to use in supervision.

Receive a liability insurance rubric to help mitigate potential complaints against you or your associates.
