In life, we have two choices: overcome adversity, or be held back by it.
Mending Clinic is proud to introduce RESTORE, an Advanced Outpatient Program designed for those who want the most out of their relationships and their lives, but are currently unable to move forward.
Obstacles to growth require a specialized plan for each individual. Mending Clinic developed Restore as a four or six week advanced outpatient care program with an individualistic approach to assist adults.
Restore provides a unique Advanced Outpatient treatment plan for individuals who are looking to improve or develop coping strategies and life skills for fulfillment in relationships with family, student life, or work activities.
An Advanced Outpatient Program (AOP) provides the basics of group therapy and medication management offered in a typical outpatient program and supplemented this with an in-home assessment for each individual and specialized individual counseling.
The Multidisciplinary and Holistic approach of the Restore Program Utilizes:
The Healthy Home Assessment provides the group therapist, individual therapist, and medical provider a broader view of the group members current needs outside of the RESTORE group.
WHY GROUP THERAPY?
Group counseling provides and environment for clients to gain support and perspective from each other, while also receiving guidance from a specially trained group leader. The group leader provides guidance, discipline, structure, and respect throughout the process. The group will participate in experiential learning exercises, such as equine-assisted therapy, yoga or specialized art therapy.
WHY HEALTHY HOME ASSESSMENT?
The Healthy Home Assessment provides the group therapist, individual therapist, and medical provider a broader view of the group members current needs outside of the RESTORE group. The Healthy Home Assessment will help the family adjust their life principals to begin the process of generational change. At Mending Clinic, we know each family member has a voice. We developed RESTORE to give each family member an opportunity to grow along with the individual in our advanced outpatient program.
WHY MEDICATION MANAGEMENT?
Medication management paired with group therapy and individual therapy can be an effective tool for members to restore their quality of life and create health where possible impairments are currently present. Our medical director, Dr. Diana Ghelber, believes in a personal approach to treatment. Along with traditional western medications, Dr. Ghelber is trained in alternative approached to treating depression, anxiety and PTSD, such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, Ketamine and Acupuncture.
WHY SPECIALIZED INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING?
A patient needing individual counseling can begin this stage during week two of the program. Weekly individual counseling can be modified to couples or family counseling. Enabling the group members to fully review their reactions to recent group topics, coping strategies, address fears and anxieties related to the change process, provide personalized feedback on results, address any immediate emergencies, and probes into sensitive issues that are difficult to discuss while in group counseling. What to keep your current counselor? We can work with them!

What Therapists Are Saying About Restore
“I was feeling the pressure with one of my clients. We had made so much progress and then one day my client stated they had plateaued. I decided to find a program that would allow them to grow in more ways that I was limited by. The Restore program not only allowed my client to continue their growth but also gave them a new hope that could not have been created without their assistance. Thank you Restore for your work and highest quality level of care for our clients.”
– Michael Flores, LPC, Brighter Possibilities Family Counseling, Fort Worth
“I referred my client because I knew she needed more than outpatient, but she didn’t need inpatient. I considered a PHP program as a referral; despite knowing what she really needed was a highly specialized tailored program that would be trauma focused. At a local marketing meeting I learned about the Restore program. I shared the information with my client and when she was ready she began her journey. The entire staff worked closely with me to provide the necessary treatment for my client. I was kept informed through the entire process and was encouraged to attend treatment team meetings. They individualized her treatment and after 8 weeks she made amazing strides in developing the skills necessary to deal with her complex trauma. Group therapy, equine therapy, EMDR, art therapy, and medication management are all a crucial part of my client’s recovery from what has haunted her for years. She continues weekly psychotherapy and weekly EMDR. Since her discharge date, I have seen my client heal and find joy in her life again. RESTORE was the perfect intensity of therapeutic interventions provided with care and compassion. Thank you to the Restore team for assisting me in helping this client begin to achieve what she didn’t realize was possible.”
– Conchita Andrijeski, LPC-S, CND Therapy, Mansfield
“From a counselor’s perspective, I really love Restore’s team approach. They were able to give me frequent and detailed updates on my client’s progress. I attended weekly treatment team meetings so that I could hear about how my client was progressing in the group, and also give my feedback about the things I had been seeing in individual counseling. I could tell that the Restore team really cared about my client as a person, and their goal was for my client’s success. I was able to continue to see my client for individual counseling while they attended the Restore program, which really helped with continuity of care.”
– Emily Benning, LPC, Mending Clinic, Arlington
